Xiaomi 13 Series Receives Google Pixel Exclusive Magic Eraser Feature

Xiaomi has recently unveiled its latest 13 series, a line of smartphones that comes with a range of new features that are exclusive to Xiaomi devices. Among these features is the coveted Google Pixel Exclusive Magic Eraser, which is now available on the Xiaomi 13 series, making it the first non-Pixel Android device to receive the Magic Eraser at launch.

As part of the partnership between Xiaomi and Google, the companies have announced that retail buyers of the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 standard will be able to enjoy Google’s Magic Eraser feature. The announcement was made at MWC Barcelona 2023 on 26 February 2023.

For the first 6 months after purchase, users can experience the Magic Eraser feature for free as part of the free 6-month Google One subscription given to Xiaomi 13 series users. This feature will allow users to seamlessly remove unwanted parts of an image with software processing.

It should be noted that the free Magic Eraser feature is not a permanent addition to the Xiaomi 13 series. After the 6-month period, users will no longer have access to the feature unless they have a Google One subscription.

Google announced this month that Magic Eraser is now available to all Google One customers, including Android and iPhone users. The feature was previously exclusive to Pixel devices, and its availability on the Xiaomi 13 series marks a significant milestone for the Android smartphone market.

The Magic Eraser feature has been one of the main reasons why users prefer Google’s camera suite over other Android smartphone makers. Its inclusion on the Xiaomi 13 series is expected to further enhance the overall user experience.

In addition to the free 6-month Google One subscription, buyers of the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 will also enjoy YouTube Premium for up to 6 months, providing them with ad-free access to the YouTube and YouTube Music apps.

Furthermore, users of the Xiaomi 13 series will also benefit from one out-of-warranty repair without labor costs in the first 12 months after purchase.

Xiaomi has also promised that both the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 will receive 3 generations of Android system updates, along with 5 years of security patch updates, which is an improvement from the promises made for the Xiaomi 12 series last year.

It is important to note that these exclusive privileges are only available to buyers of the Xiaomi standard 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, and they do not apply to the Xiaomi 13 Lite.
