TWICE Makes History by Selling Out Concert Tickets at California’s SoFi Stadium
TWICE, the South Korean girl group, has made history with their fifth world concert tour titled READY TO BE, which will take place at California’s SoFi Stadium. The nine-member group has become the first female K-Pop idol to sell out tickets for their upcoming concert at the stadium, making them the talk of the town.
TWICE has accomplished a feat that no other female K-Pop idol has achieved before, which is to sell out a stadium. The tickets for TWICE’s concert, scheduled for June 10, went on sale on Wednesday (22/3) local time and were sold out in an instant. This means that TWICE is officially the first girl group to successfully sell out a stadium, as well as a K-pop artist to achieve the feat after BTS.
TWICE’s upcoming concert at the SoFi Stadium wasn’t the only one that sold out on the first day of sales. The tickets for TWICE’s concerts in North America and Australia were also sold out in the blink of an eye. Due to the overwhelming demand, TWICE and JYP Entertainment added additional shows for six cities on different days. These cities include Oakland, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, and Sydney.
Previously, TWICE made history by becoming the first female K-pop idol in history to hold a stadium concert in the United States. They sold out tickets for their world tour III concert at the Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles. This shows the immense popularity of TWICE among their fans and the growing interest in K-Pop music around the world.
Sales Record Broken by Their Newest Mini Album
TWICE has also set a new record for sales of their newest mini album titled READY TO BE in the United States. The mini album managed to sell 153 thousand copies online and 145 thousand copies in stores in the first week of release. This is a testament to the group’s immense popularity and the love of their fans for their music.
