Lee Do Hyun, the rising Korean actor, is set to star in the upcoming heartwarming drama “The Good Bad Mother” alongside senior actress Ra Mi Ran. Following his successful stint in “The Glory Part 1 and 2” alongside Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun is poised to make a mark with this new drama. This unique drama is set to premiere in April 2023 on JTBC with 14 episodes in total.
Synopsis of “The Good Bad Mother”
The drama revolves around the story of a single mother, Young Soon (Ra Mi Ran), who runs a pig farm to support herself and her son Kang Ho (Lee Do Hyun). Young Soon’s strict upbringing of Kang Ho makes her feel like a bad mother, but she did so to prevent her son from facing the same fate as hers. Kang Ho grows up to become a cold and distant prosecutor with a life full of secrets. He tries to stay away from his mother until one day, an accident transforms him back into a child, and he has to return to his hometown with his mother.
As the story unfolds, it showcases the unique bond and relationship between a mother and a grown-up child who behaves like a child. The heartwarming comedy will take the viewers on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

The drama has an excellent lineup of talented actors and actresses, including Yoo In Soo, Jung Woong In, Choi Moo Sung, Seo Yi Sook, Kim Won Hae, Jang Won Young, Kang Mal Geum, Baek Hyun Jin, Hong Bi Ra, Ki So You, and Park Da On, who will be seen in pivotal roles. Exciting Characters of “The Good Bad Mother”
Yoo In Soo will play the role of village troublemaker Bang Sam Shik, who is pure at heart and exudes a refreshing energy that makes him a character to watch out for. Jung Woong In will be seen in the character of Oh Tae Soo, a prosecutor turned assemblyman who is dedicated to his work in the face of the upcoming elections. Choi Moo Sung, on the other hand, will play Song Woo Byuk, the chairman of the Woo Byuk Group, who uses Choi Kang Ho to connect with Oh Tae Soo.
The other villagers bring their own unique personalities and colors to the drama. Seo Yi Sook plays Mrs. Park, the mother of Bang Sam Sik, and the owner of the village factory. Kim Won Hae will play the leader of an old village, who adds a comedic twist to the story by taking on all the responsibilities of the village. Jang Won Young will play Mrs. Park’s husband, and Kang Mal Geum will be seen as Mrs. Jeong, a woman who has sacrificed everything for her husband and daughter Lee Mi Joo. Baek Hyun Jin will take on the role of an eccentric composer who dreams of building a large concert hall in Jowoori village. Hong Bi Ra will play Oh Tae Soo’s only daughter, Oh Ha Young, and Ki So You and Park Da On will play twins Ye Jin and Seo Jin, who befriend Choi Kang Ho after he returns to being a child.
